LANOGUARD SNOW FOAM
Safe, strong, and coating-friendly – this is your essential pre-wash for dirt removal without compromise.
1. Preparation - Ensure your vehicle is dry, cool to the touch and parked out of direct sunlight.
Shake the bottle well before use.
2. Dilution - Dilute as per the instructions on the back of the bottle:
Ratio 1:10 (1 part snow foam to 9 parts water).
Adjust the dilution ratio and/or flow rate of the snow foam applicator for the desired density level.
3. Application - Apply evenly using a foam lance, pressure sprayer, or trigger bottle. Expect a rich, clinging foam designed to lift grime an loosen bonded dirt without stripping wax or coatings.
4. Dwell Time (amount of time product is left on a surface to work effectively)
Allow the foam to dwell for around 5 minutes. Don’t let it dry out – adjust timing if you’re working in warm or windy conditions.
5. Rinse Thoroughly - When rinsing start at the bottom of vehicle working upwards.
Use a pressure washer for best results. If that’s not available, a hose with good pressure will also work.
KEY TIPS
- If the foam not clinging well? - Check your dilution ratio and equipment setup. Increase product concentration slightly for thicker coverage.
- If the product dries on the surface? - Simply re-apply and rinse thoroughly. Avoid working in direct sun or on a hot surface.
- What to do if you have residue after rinsing? - May indicate under-rinsing or product drying before removal. Use more water pressure and rinse more thoroughly.
LANOGUARD ceramic car wash
SiO₂-infused and coating-safe, this is no ordinary shampoo. It’s designed to clean, enhance, and extend your vehicle’s protection in one simple wash.
1. Preparation - Ensure your vehicle is cool to the touch and parked out of direct sunlight.
Rinse the vehicle thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris or use a pre wash like Lanoguard Snow Foam for best results.
2. Dilution - Dilute 15ml: 5L of water in a bucket (2 capfuls to an average household bucket).
3. Application - Use a clean wash mitt or sponge to apply the shampoo to the vehicle one panel at a time. Start from the top and work your way down to avoid dragging dirt.
This product is bucket-wash recommended. It is not designed for foam cannon use.You may notice a lower than expected presentation of suds yet a smooth slick washing experience.
4. Rinse - Rinse off thoroughly with clean water, ensuring all residue is removed. A pressure washer or hose works well here.
5. Drying - Use a clean, high-quality drying towel for a streak-free finish. Avoid air drying to prevent water spots.
Consider following up with a window cleaner on your windows.
Enjoy improved water beading and a shiny finish. Protection builds over time with repeat application.
KEY TIPS
- If you have streaks or water spots after drying? - Always dry using a clean, absorbent towel. Avoid letting water evaporate naturally in sun or wind.
- If you have poor suds or cleaning power? - Ensure proper dilution. If water is very hard, increase shampoo slightly or consider using filtered water.
- Not seeing hydrophobic effect? - The SiO₂ layer builds with use but can be diminished by using aggressive detergents between washes. Stick with Lanoguard-safe products.
Using the IK Foam Pro 2 Professional Sprayer Guide
The IK Foam Pro 2 is a manual pump sprayer that allows you to create rich snow foam without a jet wash. To get the best performance, follow these pressurising steps:
1. Fill with Diluted Snow Foam Solution - After mixing your snow foam at the correct ratio (1:10), pour it into the sprayer—being careful not to exceed the max fill line. This leaves room for pressurised air.
2. Pump to Pressurise - Use the handle to manually pump the sprayer. You’ll feel resistance build as pressure increases. Continue pumping until the safety release valve activates—this means you’ve reached optimal working pressure. During our testing phase we found this took around 30 pumps.
3. Spray Evenly - Press the trigger to begin foaming. The sprayer will maintain consistent pressure for a period of time, depending on how much area you're covering.
4. Re-Pump as Needed - As pressure drops, the foam output will weaken. When this happens, pause and pump again to restore pressure. This is completely normal for manual sprayers. During our testing phase we found that it was necessary to re-pump around 8-10 times to covers an average-sized vehicle.
5. Adjust as You Go - If the foam consistency isn’t to your liking, try:
- Changing the coloured mixing nozzle (grey is a good all-round option)
- Adjusting dilution strength slightly
- Pumping more to maintain consistent pressure
Tip - Pump periodically throughout your application session to maintain consistent foam quality, especially when covering large vehicles or working in warmer conditions.
Important Tips
- Safe for use on all surfaces including Lanoguard-treated areas.
- If the foam dries accidentally, simply re-apply and rinse thoroughly.
- Always wear gloves during extended use to protect sensitive skin.
- We recommend cleaning your windows after cleaning your vehicle, a simple household window cleaner will work if you do not have dedicated vehicle cleaner.
