Lanoguard has a set of features and technical specifications which really set it apart within the Industrial, engineering and Green Tech Industries. Once you understand these technical features you can really start to work out all kinds of uses for Lanoguard grease and sprays across all kinds of corrosion protection, waterproofing, electrical and lubrication applications. The Lanoguard features are:
- Natural and much, much longer lasting
- Salt, Acid and Alkaline resistant
- Waterproof (instantly waterproof anything)
- Jet wash resistant to 3000 psi or 200 bar (won't be displaced and will keep protecting after cleaning)
- Petroleum resistant (so petrol or diesel spillage or leakage won’t displace it nor mix with it)
- Non-conductive to 70,000 volts (use on all electrics and circuit boards)
- Prevents electrolysis (no more seized nuts and bolts or outboard motor legs!)
- Non-evaporative (won't dry out like normal grease leaving un-lubricated or protected parts)
- Heat resistant to 450 degrees celsius
- Adheres to all surfaces
- Non-leaching (won't spread to other adjoining surfaces and material)
- Non perishing (safe to use on all rubbers etc)
- Lubricating (amazingly low friction co-efficient)
- Very low friction coefficient
- Ecologically sound (can be used safely in marine environments)
- Non-petroleum based
As an example, some of our customers and applications are:
Green Tech – There are so many uses for Lanoguard around the green tech industry. Not only is it far superior to any other greases and sprays used in these industries, it also has the environmentally friendly credentials for making it perfect for the application, for example: One of our customers builds tidal energy harnessing machines to generate power with tidal movement under the seas surface. The machine is 110 metres long and 10 metres deep by 4 metres high. They use the grease product for, sealing threaded holes that are used for disassembly to protect from corrosion under sea water, lubrication on rubber fenders which will not be displaced so they can act as sliding cushions, covering non-stainless bolts to prevent corrosion, lubrication of steel pins to ensure they are removable, insertable and not corroded. Another customer uses Lanoguard greases for servicing hydro power pumps and penstock gates on intake weirs. We also have customers that use the greases for wind farm servicing Another customer uses it on their tidal transfer vessel (used for sea crew transfer while building and working on their windfarm). Lanoguard is used on the stern drives, general vessel lubrication and rust prevention.
Construction and Building Industries – There are so many uses for Lanoguard around this industry, for example: One of our customers uses the Lanoguard spray as a high-pressure concrete mould release agent. It does this because it is non compressible and will not emulsify which is a side benefit and side property of the product but for them, this was the way in which they were able to release complicated kerbside moulds which had drains running through the middle of the bottom of the kerbstone which usually would cause damage when the mould is taken apart (at which would require reparation of the kerbside stone). It was saving money for them by not having to do the repair and saving time because the moulds came apart very easily. Another customer uses it for prevention of corrosion of different metals within their manufacturing for example a still motor spline inserted into a snow sweeping core which used to corrode together. Now, with the application of the grease, this corrosion and seizing together is entirely prevented. They also use the grease in production lines for all their assembly work to ensure exposed bolts and pivots do not seize in service. They use the spray coating barrier coat product to prevent overall corrosion on whole machines. We treat bobcat skid steers which go into salt mines with a complete machine coating including the engine and how body in order to prevent corrosion in this harsh environment.
Marina’s and Ports – There are so many uses for Lanoguard around these areas, for example some customers have used it on the wire rope which suspends the linkspan bridge for loading the ferry. They use it to prevent for the lubrication properties but mainly for corrosion prevention to ensure the longevity of the very expensive wire rope and the safety of the very heavy bridge which the rope suspends. It’s also been used for prevention of corrosion on the jetty nuts bolts screws and fittings all around the Marina on a twice a year maintenance schedule. It also prevents cold welding in harsh marine environments.
Airports - They use it for prevention of corrosion on all of the runway de-icer vehicles, which is sprayed across and over the whole machine to prevent corrosion from potassium acetate which the machine has to spray to deice the run way. They also use if for lubrication of fire truck water canon focal rings, prevention of hard water build up on these and other parts, along with lubricating the fire trucks foam valve piston and cylinder mechanisms which can be prone to seizing up rendering the foam mixing unit useless, which is a large operational risk. They also use if for prevention of corrosion on runway lighting and wiring.
Power Stations – They have used the Lanoguard Grease and the Lanoguard Spray to protect the building medium in the construction phase of the power plant such as protecting the still shuttering against corrosion from the sea and wind on the shoreline and other building materials.
Lifeboat Stations – They have used it for protection of some metal work which is on the underside of the Hull of the boat.
Environment Agency’s– They have used is on their coastal penstocks. As the product is environmentally friendly it’s perfect to use in waterways.
Other applications –
Jewellers - We have customers that use Lanoguard grease product in their jewellery work as a fine tool lubricant because the grease properties uniquely make tools sharper for longer, make metal.
Window, Double Glazing and Locksmiths – We have various customers who use Lanoguard for protection and anti-corrosive features on locks and hinges and also within the manufacturing process of wooden doors to create a barrier that prevents the corrosion caused by the acids in the wood touching the metal.
