Tried Lanoguard on my 16 year old Z4 last week. Easy to apply. I was a little sceptical at first but I was pleased with the way it looks once dried out a bit. Let’s see how long it lasts but very pleased so far.

Lanoguard Moto Spray
I was going to treat the sills on my Berlingo van to a dose of waxoyl but my mechanic said that if the sills rotted in the future he would not repair then as it would be full of waxoyl. So i started to look for an alternative and came across Lanoguard. I spoke to someone about the product and asked if it was flammable like waxoyl and apparently it’s not!! I ordered a 2ltr tub a spray bottle and the 360 wand. Luckily the sills had 2 plug holes so treatment was very easy, I used nearly a litre a side so I know it should be well protected. It doesn’t solidify like waxoyl so if water does get in it shouldn’t hold moisture in the wax pockets.
Very pleased with it, I’ll treat the sills again in a couple of years time
Having done some reseach and tried some of the competition, I decided to give Lanoguard a go on the basis of some reviews. I was a bit concerned at the price, being 3 times the cost of Waxoil, but having really struggled to apply Waxoil in a DIY environment and with quotes of over £600 to have the job done professionally, I thought I’d take a risk.
I have to admit that I’m totally happy with the product. Just warm it up overnight before use and it stays liquid enough to apply for long enough to get the job done. It’s so easy to apply with no toxicity to worry about or having to mask anything other than the brake discs and it’s just like spraying a light oil.
The effect it has on the underside of the car is instant and transformative and it leaves suspension components and sub-frames looking like new. I haven’t any experience of how long it lasts, but if I need to re-do it every couple of years, that won’t be too much of a chore.
I was also pleasantly surprised at how well it covers with 2 liters easily enought to fully treat 2 cars.
The only negative I have is that the delivery system wasn’t brilliant and the first sprayer they sent me conked out, but the company were excellent in helping to resolve the issue.
In summary, I would really recommend this for anyone looking to underseal a car.
